David Nicol

DAVID NICOL had a couple of nicknames as a child that captured his essence.  One was “Bubble” referring to his deep connection to Joy.  The other was “The Bank” as he was the only six year old around with enough sense to save up his money so that he could loan out small sums to his classmates.  True to those names, David is still one of the most profoundly joyful people you will ever meet and is still a source of wise counsel and care for all in his circle. On the deepest level, he understands that in the darkest places within lie the seeds of our greatest Light. His passion is to open channels that allow that Light to reach deep into the collective heart of humanity. He has a gift for weaving groups of people together into sublime states of symphonic consciousness for personal and planetary healing. His absolute favorite pastime is guiding people in experiential astrology processes that awaken their remembrance of their unique role in the cosmic drama — pure magic every time!

David is the author of Subtle Activism: The Inner Dimension of Social and Planetary Transformation, and currently writes an astrologically-informed Substack column called Geistic Musings: Essays at the Intersection of Consciousness and Culture. He has taught at California Institute of Integral Studies and the Shift Network, and is a member of the Evolutionary Leaders Circle.

Subtle Activism: Working on the subtle planes for social and planetary healing

In this highly participatory 90 minute workshop, David will outline the concept of subtle activism as a profoundly meaningful way of engaging with a world in crisis. Working with each other and with allies from subtle realms, we can create together highly coherent group fields that become conduits for vast healing energies to enter and help stabilize the collective psyche. Through helping to heal the many wounds of separation that lie at the heart of modern alienation — from each other, from the Earth, from Source — subtle activism represents “the meta-solution pattern for the meta-crisis.” For many introverted people with well-developed psychic or spiritual capacities, it offers arguably the most effective way they can contribute to collective change.

This workshop will include opportunities for group discussion and a guided subtle activism practice.

Catherine Murupaenga-Ikenn

Catherine hails from the Te Rarawa and Ngati Kuri Maori peoples of Aotearoa (commonly known by its colonial name, New Zealand). With a Master of Laws, and as a 2005 UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights Indigenous Fellow (representing the Pacific Region), Catherine has been an Indigenous activist most of Her adult life working on human rights (including environmental, social, economic and climate justice) in Aotearoa and internationally. She’s held numerous positions such as the Senior Indigenous and Minorities Fellow at UN Pacific Field Office, Suva (2020-2021), as a Negotiator for the Ngāti Kurī Historical Treaty Claims settlement with the New Zealand Government (2008-15), and represented Her Peoples in numerous UN indigenous human rights meetings (including in senior roles such as the Co-Chair of the Pacific Caucus for the 2014 Global Preparatory Conference, Norway, for the UN World Conference on Indigenous Peoples). She is also a founding member of the Pacific Indigenous Women’s Network, Te Waka Hourua (Māori climate justice activists and their mainstream allies in Aotearoa), and the Climate Change Tai Tokerau Northland Trust. An aspiring author, Catherine is presently a consultant in the field of research and policy writing, having worked for different UN Agencies and mechanisms specializing on Indigenous human rights rights matters. Lately, Her attention has been drawn to the area of metaphysics – particularly Indigenous technical, expert and traditional spiritual knowledge, wisdom and practices for healing people and the planet. She is married with one son.

Metaphysical Activism

Humanity faces an unprecedented number of converging crises, many of which experts warn will be catastrophic if not existential for Us – and innumerable other Earthlings. The orthodox response is physical world activism – campaigning, civic engagement with governments, education, protests, provocative art, instigating legal proceedings, non-violent direct action and the like. However, to do this – and to do so radically and effectively – inevitably requires a degree of courage, fortitude and wisdom, all assets which seem relatively scarce right now.  Contemporaneously, stress and anxiety are increasing among the general population (as evidenced by the rise in financial hardship among the poor, working and even lower-middle classes, mental ill-health and other indicators). Under such circumstances, it’s unreasonable to expect ordinary folks to overcome their fears associated with conventional (let alone radical) activism, and mobilize under an urgent citizen-based call to action.

A critical analysis of these converging crises also uncovers that they are actually symptomatic of a shared root cause – a crisis of human consciousness. So, it is revealed that this metaphysical crisis is simultaneously the underlying cause, and a barrier to society’s mobilization of an effective remedial response.

In other words, as activists and defenders, it’s High Time that We shifted more of Our attention to metaphysical activism that builds internal strength of and coherence between the heart-brain-gut mind/body complex, increases Our spiritual power, sparks an awareness of Our identity as Divine Beings, and embeds Our sense of epic purpose on Earth in this moment.

In this workshop, and grounded in a multitude of experience and knowledge accumulated over Her lifetime, Catherine will:
  1. offer Her perspectives on “what is metaphysical activism?”,
  2. share examples of how She practices metaphysical activism in Her everyday Life, and
  3. invite discussion about how We all, as bearers of the human obligation to protect life, may help promote and support the uptake of metaphysical activism.

The Power of the In-Between

We humans are so used to thinking in A and B, in start and end, and in past and future. However, it seems as if we are almost entirely missing the treasure of existence. Our planetary relatives, the Sidhe, or The People of Flow, as they have also been called, can help us approach the saying “Mind the Gap” with a completely different awareness. When they do so, they also remind us that we are kindred spirits and that we can nurture our dormant inner Sidheness, just as they can recognize within themselves an inner Humaneness. In this sharing and attention lies the great hope for restoring wholeness – in ourselves, between us, and in the very fabric of the planetary miracle we call Gaia.

So, it seems that in the exploration of the in-between lies a tremendous power. It truly is a healing power so deeply needed in a time of crisis like ours in this century. And it all begins with us. In my sharing I will focus on the power of the in-between and how we can begin discovering the wonders of life. It is an invitation to discover the almost extremely simple – and often painfully overlooked – wisdom of the interlude, the magic of the pause, the miracle of the in-between. Here awaits the marginalized royalty of our being and the portal to the healing playfulness that we sometimes call co-creativity. Ultimately, it’s not about we Humans or the Sidhe – it’s about wholeness. The in-between is calling us. But are we showing up?

Shonagh Home

Of Celtic heritage, Shonagh follows the wisdom of the ancients and is inspired by the Ban Draoi (dree) and Fili, which is Gaelic for a Celtic medicine woman/seer/poet. As a modern medicine woman, she brings her connection to nature and the spirit worlds into her flourishing practice, hosting individual retreats and working psycho-spiritually with clients from all over the world. She specializes in shadow work, delving into the rich territory of the psyche.

Shonagh has studied with master teachers and for the past 12 years has apprenticed herself to the mushroom teachers who have led her into profound connection with the spirits of nature and her ancestral roots. She is a published author and hosts the podcast, The Mushroom’s Apprentice. www.shonaghhome.org

Poetry and the Sidhe
In the words of Lady Wilde, (Oscar Wilde’s mother),  “. . . for music and poetry are fairy gifts, and the possessors of them show kinship to the spirit race – therefore they are watched over by the spirit of life, which is prophecy and inspiration . . .”

Poetry could almost be thought of as its own unique language, and one that is quite magical. Is it any wonder that many spells are cast poetically? There is something within us that seems to recognize the difference in quality between a piece of poetry and the common parlance, and we adjust our receptiveness accordingly. As a receiver of poetic transmissions from the Sidhe through the portal of the mushroom and the portals of the Scottish stone circles, I have come to see how poetry itself is a powerful portal. In this class I will induct you into a receptive state that will assist in the connection to the Sidhe and the facilitation of poetic flow. This is not something that can be forced, rather it is invited through a desire for wisdom and connection. Make sure to have pen and pad and we will venture into the realm of faerie for poetic inspiration.

Jaap Van Etten

Jaap Van Etten received his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Amsterdam, specializing in Ecology and Population Genetics. In 1991, I shifted mainly to metaphysical studies. Initially, these studies focused on crystal skulls, the human energy system, Earth energies, and their interactions (Metaphysical Ecology). Within these studies, there is an emphasis on consciousness and the effect of consciousness on Earth’s energies. As a result of these studies, I connected with subtle worlds and subtle beings, like Dragons, Unicorns, Nature Spirits, Sidhe, and Higher-dimensional Star Beings.
These connections resulted in a deeper understanding of many subtle Beings and their roles and functions, leading to many articles, five books, workshops, and 12 Online courses.
Currently, the studies and courses focus primarily on Crystalline energies, the connection of our Earth with planets, stars, constellations and galaxies, the Sidhe, and Dragons. They are part of a program to develop a new vision for the Earth and her evolution into a new world.

Jaap came to the United States in 1998 and currently lives with his wife, Jeanne Michaels, in the Sedona area, Arizona. He has written two books on crystal skulls, a book on his connections with the Sidhe (Birth of a New Consciousness), a book on Earth Energies (Gifts of Mother Earth), and a book on Dragons (Dragons: Guardians of Creative Powers. Becoming a Conscious Creator).

His website is https://centermetaeco.com. His YouTube Channel has many free videos, many with meditations: https://studio.youtube.com/channel/UCCaAZN-kjrgIAZUD9uJut5g.

Crystal Skulls and Human Consciousness: Supporting a New Earth

Most people love the magic of the unknown, ancient aspects of crystal skulls. While that always will have some fascination, it is not the purpose of crystal skulls. Although we do not know who made the first crystal skulls, which form the model of many to be carved later in different periods, their purpose was two-fold. They are carved from crystals, which are gifts of Mother Earth, meaning they have crystalline energies with all their qualities and potential. But they also have the shape of a human skull, referring to the invitation to process the information the original makers programmed into them: the blueprint for human consciousness as they understood it.
In this workshop, we will look at crystal skulls from the perspective of crystalline energies and how to activate these frequencies. We also will look at how these crystalline frequencies relate to the different levels of human consciousness. Both crystalline energies and human consciousness are critical in co-creating a new world as part of Gaia’s evolution.
After an introduction to the relationship between crystalline energies and consciousness, we will explore and experience the different crystalline frequencies and the related consciousness in a guided meditation.

Reconnecting with the Nature Spirits of your Ancestral Lands

Most of our ancestors emigrated from lands far away, many never to return again. They were intimately connected to the places they lived, as they were farmers, miners, smiths, shepherds, fisherman, people of the land. They grew, raised, or hunted their food in season.

When they moved, it created a longing. A longing in their hearts, and a longing of the land and nature spirits for it’s children. This longing has been passed down to us.

We’ll explore the profound nature of this connection, and journey back to the nature spirits from where we came to bridge the divide and reconnect to the vitality and wisdom of our ancestral lands.

Meeting with Nature Spirits of our Ancestral Lands with Michelle McKinney. Learn about the significance of your connection to the nature spirits of your ancestral lands, and reconnect to their power and beauty as well of resource in your life.

Amantha Murphy

Amantha Murphy is a Shamanic Teacher and Healer who follows the path of the Goddess. She started her spiritual work publicly in 1972 as a clairvoyant and moved into trance mediumship and healing within a few years. She developed many tools along the Way with her spirit and ancestral teachers guiding her, and continues to work with both individuals and groups, at home and internationally. She is a Mother of four and Grandmother of four, living in County Kerry, Ireland, working primarily with the Land, Seabhean Teachings, Rites of Passage, and Ancient Goddess Pilgrimages. Her passion is the Land and returning to HER story — working through the Grandmothers, the “Shining Ones” – the Tuatha de Danann – and the Ancient Ones. She has been running Sacred Pilgrimages in Ireland since 1995.

From my earliest memories my spirit guides have been my constant companions. The spirit and fairy realm was more real to me than this reality. I grew up spending my summers here in Kerry with my grandmother, a midwife and healer, who opened my awareness from an early age to the essence of the Mother, the Land — and Her Nature. It was she who introduced me to the Sacred Way and places to commune with the Great Mother.  I work primarily with the presence of the “Grandmothers”, the Way of the “Sidhe”, our Shining Ones, the Tuatha De Danann, my Ancestors and the Ancient Ones, our Stone People. Ireland had a rich culture of indigenous teachings before the coming of the first Celts and it is in accessing that and connecting again with our Ancient Ones that we bring about the deep healing and communion both within and around us.  My work, my family, my loved ones, my passion for the Great Goddess and the Land — this is what moves and feeds me. The Land is my Mother and she has held me for as long as I can remember.”

Pre-Celtic Traditions of Ireland

We carry ancestral memories, in our bones and in our blood. We know now that our ancestors go back over 33,000 years here and they/we hold the stories of our people, along with  memories of our interconnectedness with the land and all who lived and live still, betwixt & between, upon Her.

Ireland is a ‘thin place’ where stories abound of our fairy folk and the deities of the Tuatha de Danann (the ‘Sidhe) and there are  places upon the land here that, we know, belong to the ‘others’, and many would still fear to tread.  We have always had an oral tradition and it is so often the stories that can awaken those memories. I will share some of those stories to awaken, perhaps, the deep memories you carry of your people, and we will Journey through your bones, to the memories of the interconnectedness of All living on and sharing this beautiful Earth we call home. For it is in retrieving all that we carry that we can grow forth.

Brooke Medicine Eagle

Brooke Medicine Eagle is a legendary indigenous Earthkeeper, wisdom teacher, healer, visionary, singer/songwriter, catalyst for wholeness, and ceremonialist. She is the best selling author of the Native American literary classic, Buffalo Woman Comes Singing, and of The Last Ghost Dance. Over the last 35 years, her many music recordings, teachings, writings, conference appearances, and wilderness spiritual retreats have touched the hearts and minds of people all over the world. In January of 2000, in recognition of her remarkable contributions in bridging cultural gaps in our world, Medicine Eagle was one of  30 people to receive the special Magical Blend Millennium Award, along with the Dalai Lama, Mikhail Gorbachev,  Jean Houston, Oprah Winfrey, Deepak Chopra and others.**

Brooke’s lineage is an amazing rainbow, and she has always identified with the richness of all humanity, rather than any one tribe or people. Her family claims ancestry in six native tribes (Crow, Nez Perce, Lakota, Cree, Piegan and Cherokee) as well as European blood from Scotland, Ireland, and Denmark. She is a non-traditional member of the Crow Indian tribe in Montana, where she grew up in a half-breed rancher family, homesteading in the beautiful high country of the reservation.

Brooke has an amazingly rich altar of offerings for the upliftment of all. Her wisdom has come not only from deep life experience, and  formal education (having recently completed her PhD begun long ago); but as well through studying with native elders and some of the finest teachers, spiritual leaders and healers of contemporary times. She has studied with native elders and spiritual teachers in many places around the world, including Peruvian Incan shamans from whom she carries a shamanic way called Healing the Light Body. She is fortunate to count Moshe Feldenkrias, Doris Breyer, Stanley Kelleman, and Milton Trager among her therapeutic body work teachers and mentors. She studied and offers Somatic Experiencing and Rapid Resolution Therapy – these are profound trauma release work – as a part of her private consultations which are focused on clearing blockages, opening your heart, and assisting your expression of your finest gifts into this world, that is so in need in this critical and transforming time.

Connection is the Key
We are facing a tremendous number of critical issues on our beautiful Gaian planet, and for most all of them, connecting to the larger life is the key. White Buffalo Calf Woman brought us this message of Oneness 20 generations ago ~ quantum physicists are currently catching up! NOW is the time for ALL of us to understand the power and benefit of her message, which is even more vital today ~ as our elders have said that we have only 20 years to come into harmony with the family of Life, or we humans will follow so many others into extinction at our own hand
We’ll take a deep look at her wisdom and how to apply it in your daily lives.

Connecting with the Kontomble

What do trees and bees, sasquatch and rainbows, earth-quakes and river-flows have in common? What if I were to tell you that the beings living inside an over 50,000 year old lineage have something to say about it? These beings are none other than the Kontomblé, the Little People of the Dagara Tribe in Burkina Faso. The Little People are known by many names across many cultures. Recognized as leprechauns, the fae, gnomes, menehune, and more- their medicine and its message is universal in nature.

They are the original stewards of the earth, and bringers of culture to humanity. They have always been a part of this world, and now more than ever- they are wanting to reconnect with humanity to guide us through the transformational times we are in!

The Kontomblé speak on behalf of all nations of little people. Because their lineage has remained intact for over 50,000 years, it is as if they have been handed the “mic” and are the MC’s at the party, bridging and broadcasting many timely and universal messages from the Hidden realms into the collective.

Their medicine is a playful one, and also a potent one. Often coming through in rhymes and riddles, they skillfully weave words in ways that revive lost parts of our being, call us back home to ourselves and mend our missions so that we are proud to be alive and thriving in service to our Earth Mother.

As a voice diviner, Aislinn has been a mouthpiece for the Kontomblé for many years, bringing their messages through to groups and individuals all over the globe.

In this workshop, each participant will be guided on a journey into the earth to commune with these Otherworldly allies. We will learn about the importance of our Ancestral Medicines and the making of offerings through the Kontomblé lens. We will listen to receive and re-seed the messages they have for us about how we can be better tenders and menders of this beautiful planet we call home. We will explore the art of offerings and elemental ritual to mark this moment of communion with these powerful co-creators and allies, repairing ancient bonds and remembering the playfulness and joy of these original connections.

Ilarion Merculieff

I was in the last Unangan (Aleut) generation that had a fully intact traditional upbringing, where the entire village participated in raising me. In my adolescence I was moved by the government to boarding schools to get “proper” western modern education. There, in high-school, university and on, I climbed up the modern-world ladder, while learning its ways and harnessing them to help my tribe, the fish, wildlife and land; other Native peoples around me, and people in general.

As an adult, I have worked almost exclusively as an advocate, leader, advisor, organizer, and facilitator for my people in Alaska and a messenger for Indigenous Elders across the world for the past 50 years, beginning as my tribe’s first lobbyist in Washington, D.C. in 1968, at age 18. Having achieved political freedom in 1966 from a legally proven state of servitude to the U.S. government (lasting over a century), the tribe hired me to seek federal funds to establish a city. The effort was successful, and the City of St. Paul was created in 1971.

Also, at age 18, I was hired by the University of Washington to establish the Indian Education Program. The program has expanded and still exists today. While at the University, I became the youngest person on the National Indian Education Advisory Board and a member of the Convocation of American Indian Scholars, to help Indigenous peoples across the Americas to achieve freedom from tyranny and injustices imposed by governments.

At age 23, after graduating from that University, upon returning to Alaska, I became the Director of Lands for the Aleut Corporation. I went to all 12 Unangan villages in the Bering Sea region to train local people on how to select lands under the Alaska Native Land Claims Act. The 12 Alaska Native regions of Alaska and its villages received 40 million acres of land and money.

After that, I was hired by the Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX) that’s owned by the St. Paul Unangan people, to be its business manager. TDX received 120,000 acres of land from the government. Given that the federal government had total control over the lands and people of St. Paul for over a century, there was no local experience in creating businesses. I led the effort to create relevant culturally sensitive businesses. At the time, in 1976, we received $300,000 to invest in private enterprises. When I left in 1985, the organization was worth 12 million dollars. Today it’s worth over 100 million dollars and is financially strong.

In the first half of my career, I served as City Manager of St. Paul Island, Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Commerce and Economic Development, President and CEO of TDX, Chairman of the Board of The Aleut Corporation, Co-chair of the Rural Sanitation Taskforce (installing running water and flush toilets in 50 rural communities), Co-chair of the Japan-Alaska Fishery Cooperative, Deputy Director of the Alaska Native Science Commission, and served on the National Research Council Committee on the Bering Sea Ecosystem, as one of two Native people alongside acclaimed marine scientists. I was chairman and co-founder of the Alaska Indigenous Council on Marine Mammals; chairman of the Nature Conservancy, Alaska chapter; co-director of the Native American Fish and Wildlife Society, Alaska chapter; co-founder of the International Bering Sea Forum, the Alaska Forum on the Environment, and the Alaska Oceans Network. I left all this to do my real work in the world over 30 years ago. I didn’t know what I was to do or where I was to live. I just “jumped”. Then, through inexplicable circumstances, my first work as “Kuuyux” was to carry messages of the Hopi and Maori they felt the world needed to hear. Then I was invited by Indigenous spiritual leaders from traditional lands such as the Tarahumaras of NW Mexico, the Mapuche in Patagonia, the Morley Reserve in Alberta, the Olone lands in California, and on and on.

From 2000–2003, I served as the Director of the Department of Public Policy and Advocacy in the Rural Alaska Community Action Program. I led the largest subsistence rights march and rally in Alaska’s history. This was instrumental in protecting Alaska Native subsistence rights, to fish.

I have chaired or facilitated many conferences, such as the 2009 North American Conference on the Healing of Mother Earth in Merida, Mexico; the 2010 Global Conference of Indigenous Peoples on Climate Change, where I chaired the Indigenous Knowledge sessions attended by representatives from 80 countries; facilitated the 2010 gathering of the International Council of the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers; conducted ceremonies in Israel in 2018, in 2019 emceed Marie Mead’s First peoples Foundation Laureateship ceremony, and gave workshops in Israel and Sweden, and many more throughout the years throughout the USA.

In 2017 the Sacred Fire Foundation gave me the Wisdom Fellowship Award for wisdom carriers and tradition bearers.

I have written work: https://www.gcill.world/articles And filmed work: https://www.gcill.world/videos

In 2017, I gathered 13 Elders from around the world to discuss the state of Mother Earth, and what humans should do now. The Elders agreed for everything to be filmed; even ceremonies, which is unprecedented. A message was co-created. The https://wisdomweavers.world website explains somewhat what we’re attempting to do, and shows a 14-minute video, translated by volunteers into 15 different languages, and was shared globally by Rueters News agency for Earth-days 50th anniversary in April 22, 2020 https://www.reuters.com/article/us-earth-day-indigenous-idUSKBN2221G7 .

today I am the legacy of my name: Kuuyux, and continue to speak about the Elders messages when invited. For my Elders told me: “Only go where you’re invited. Trust you heart, and it will never guide you wrong.”
