Beginning at the Beginning!

In 2019 I was called to lead a Fairy Congress trip to Scotland (report here). At the end of that trip, I felt both a strong urge to return to Scotland one day, but also a sense that I needed to go to Wales next.  I asked my guides when such a trip might work – 2020? No. 2021? No again.  At that point I left it, I don’t believe in asking questions that far in the future as things are not set.

Then Covid happened, and I moved to a new home base, and i understood that those years were not the time for another trip!

Instead I made numerous visits to a powerspot here in Washington state called Lost Lake.  I was there for the Fall Equinox of 2022 and received the message that I should bring a group there for Summer Solstice 2023, that ‘assistance will be available to upgrade our programming’.  I gathered together a small group of women and we went for five days in June 2024.  We did ceremony for the Solstice and tuned in with the ancient trees and other special beings there.

During that trip in one of my tune-ins I met a white dragon.  It always takes me a while to receive a name, but I puzzled it out to be Cerridwen.  I recognized this to be of Welsh origin – was it time now to go to Wales? I heard a ‘yes!’

On returning home from that trip, I logged onto facebook and immediately saw that Aluna Joy Yaxkin was leading a trip to Wales in summer 2024.  I have followed her writings for a couple of years and much of what she says resonates with me so it became clear this was the trip for me!

It’s a long flight from Seattle to the UK, I knew if was going to go all that way I needed to have some additional time besides the two week group tour, so I booked myself a few days on Iona before the tour and another week in Wales after its conclusion.

Iceland

Iceland air was offering the best deals when i booked my flight, it is an intriguing country so i thought i might as well fly through there.  Our flight out of Seattle was delayed about 45 minutes, unfortunately that was the same amount of time as our scheduled layover in Reykjavik. They did not hold the ongoing flight to Glasgow for us so about 20 of us were stuck in Iceland for the night. I was very upset about this at first.  I was supposed to be in Oban that night, visiting my old tree friends.  I called the youth hostel there to let them know i would not be arriving that day, and found out I had made my reservation for the wrong week!  My reservation wasn’t until the following week so i was able to cancel it without penalty.  After discovering that error, I realized perhaps i was in Iceland for a reason!

I was still upset though because iceland air had re-routed me to get in to Glasgow a full 28 hours later than planned.  This would cause serious delays in continuing on to Iona.  I met these two rock beings in Iceland – I walked by them first when i was very distressed about being there and did not see their ‘beingness’.  Once I had released some of the anger, their Life force became very apparent.  This theme came up again later in the trip – your mindset is crucial when making contact with the Subtle Realms.  You have to be open to the magic of wherever you find yourself or it won’t be revealed.

I asked them for help in moving forward on my trip with ease, and I was able to get a seat on an earlier flight to Glasgow.  That was a good practice in calling in help to manifest on the go.

Iona

Before I left, someone asked me why I wanted to go to Iona, was I interested in the birth of Christianity?  Not at all!  But I couldn’t really say why, just that it’s a beautiful place and I needed to go back.  Once there, I saw a sign in the Abbey saying that Iona is known to be a ‘thin place’ where Heaven and Earth come together.  To see it acknowledged in such a way gave me the explanation I was looking for.

It is a super high-vibration island, off the west coast of Scotland with nothing to the west except the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean.  It is mainly rock and grass, the only trees are around the village on the east side.  The rocks are 500 million year old granite that erode to form gorgeous white sand beaches. The island is only three miles long and one mile wide, I walked the length and breadth of it in my few days there.

The weather was gorgeous so I took a half day trip over to Staffa island, about 45 minutes away by boat (visible on the horizon in the photo above)..  The water was so calm, and on the way there a pod of dolphins swam towards us!  I always think it’s special when wild creatures come towards you instead of away from you.  I swam with wild dolphins twice in the Bahamas (2019 and 2021) and sensed that this pod could feel the connection i had established there.  I have no idea if this is true but it FEELS true, and the dolphins did swim around us for quite a while! (there is a video in the google album)

Staffa is a volcanic island with pristine basalt columns.  On one side of Staffa is Fingal’s cave, an amazing 90 meter long cave – such intense energy!

I tried to tune in at Fingal’s cave but it was so intense and there were other tourists around that it was hard to go deep.  I did manage to feel that it is a place where deep Earth energy rises to the surface, and that mer-people come to the mouth of the cave to absorb that energy. I really wanted to know HOW it came to be, what sort of forces were at work to create such a structure?

From Iona I returned to Oban where I got to spend just a few hours visiting my old tree friends and making new ones.  Then it was off down to England to meet up with the group.

England: Glastonbury, Stonehenge, Avebury

I met up with Aluna’s group near Heathrow.  That involved a whole day of travel from Oban, all by train.

Our first stop was Glastonbury Abbey.  We circled up in the Lady’s altar and tuned in.  I felt spiraling energies from above and below feeding into the surface level world.  This was the moment I knew I was in the right place with the right people, as other people felt the same thing and we were all able to build on each other’s perceptions. Aluna received that this energy was ‘enlightened neutrality’, I understood that to be the same as what Sandra Walter calls Divine Neutrality, just pure creative energy with no judgment attached:

“Enlightened Neutrality.… this is how we can serve the earth and humanity and honor ourselves as well. We must feel “moved” into action, not obligated. When we are moved, we will use this creative force in an appropriate way. This is the cornerstone of the message we received in Abby today.

Our group was inoculated by a rarefied and eternally replenishing energy that was re-circulating in a tube taurus fashion. It was filled with very fine energy particles. It had no definition or limitation and was unqualified pure creative force with pure potential.”

It was a great confirmation that I was feeling something REAL in that it was also being felt by others.

That evening I was reading David Nicol’s newsletter, he mentioned ‘fourth level knowing’, where a group field of intelligence is created and a higher level of wisdom can be accessed than by individuals alone.  It felt like we were creating and accessing this state, another synchronous sign of alignment!

The next day we went to the Chalice Well. When I tuned in here, I felt wrapped in loving blue energy at the center of the Earth, and also saw a huge knowing eye merged with the omphalos. This is said to be the Heart Chakra of the planet, they also say the eyes are the window to the soul, so maybe i was seeing into the soul of Gaia?

Aluna downloaded a lovely message here about fully trusting that the Universe will supply all that is needed, this is something I had been receiving from other sources too so that felt in right alignment.

We also went to the Tor that day, it was pretty busy up there but I took a moment to tune in and felt the presence of the Sidhe very strongly.  There wasn’t anything overly dramatic, but they said that there is no need for that at this point.

I had done a little akashic record reading for myself the evening before, as this was shopping day in Glastonbury.  I knew I wanted to add to my crystal collection but with so much to choose from how would i decide?  In the records I was told to bring my existing crystal team with me when i went shopping, to let them help pick a new member of the team.  This made it so much easier, and fun!  I was easily led to a beautiful blue-green chrysocolla skull. Its focus is on communication and finding the right words, a very useful skill!

We also visited St John the Baptist Church right on the Main Street.  Normally I don’t connect much with churches, there is too much historical distortion but I tuned in here and felt a deep open column to the center of the planet and the center of creation – a deep well of creative energy.  It is the place where all the musicians and buskers hang out and perform, drawn in by that creative force.

The next day we went to Stonehenge, which sits in the middle of a vast plain.  The stones are huge and impressive, it is a bit like Fingal’s cave in that the energy is so huge it’s hard to get a handle on it, but i was struck by how close they are together, the circle itself is quite compact.  Looking at the surrounding landscape and tuning in, I felt like the whole plain is one big portal like a fish eye lens, and the henge is the pupil that focuses it. It feels like it draws energy strongly down from the Stellar realms and anchors it into the planet.  No wonder there are so many crop circles that show up in this part of the world, the henge is still doing its job even though it is no longer fully intact.

After Stonehenge we took a little walk through some gorgeous young beech woods to what has been dowsed as the inflection point, where the ley line from Stonehenge takes a turn on its way to Avebury.  Here I saw on the inner planes a seed form surrounded by kundalini energy.

Avebury is huge, much more spread out than Stonehenge, but much less focused as well.  It felt like a junction box, the energy from the galaxy gets pulled in at Stonehenge, then it flows to Avebury where it can be re-distributed as needed.

Wales

Day 1, Saturday July 13th

Our first stop in Wales was Tintern Abbey. There is not much left of the Abbey itself, when I tuned in I connected with the Deva of the area, a lovely bowl with ridges of forest around the River Wye. After wandering around the Abbey for a bit I received the instruction to go down to the river and give an offering, since this was our first stop in Wales.  I took a quick hike to the bridge nearby and walked a short way along the trail on the other side and it felt so good to be out in Nature again after the relatively dense agriculture and civilization of England.

We then went to St Anne’s well which felt a little depressed, it doesn’t get many visitors anymore and is quite overgrown.  From there we went down the road to Harold’s Stones, three large stones in a row but they don’t stand upright, they are all leaning in different directions.  The energy here felt really confused and disorienting, we all felt really tired. I was again glad to have others to confirm what I was getting, otherwise I would have just thought it was just me!

Our hotel these first two nights in Wales was not in a very attractive location, next to a business park.  I sleuthed on google maps and found an area of forest nearby so I took a walk to investigate.  It is a big park on what used to be a manor, with majestic old trees (130 years old according to a sign, that’s respectable!).  There was also an off-leash dog park and it was wonderful to hang out with all the happy dogs.

Day 2 – July 14th

The next day we started at the Rocking Rock at Pontypredd. These are two huge rocks, one on top of the other and the top one rocks back and forth with someone big enough standing on it. It could be a glacial erratic, or maybe someone put it there on purpose, no one knows!

I felt like I was swimming when I first tuned in here, very fluid, non-directional energy.  Then we rocked the rock and got the energy moving and I felt a strong surge from Stonehenge, to which it is connected by a ley line, and then I could sense a solid column of energy.  It was nice to feel that shift.

Tinkerswood Dolmen was next.  This is not a very sophisticated construction, although it is a massive capstone.  This dolmen was set down into the earth more than others.  I was drawn to go inside and the huge capstone made it easy to connect downwards and I was able to connect with Guinevere and integrate her energy more (she had come to me before I left home).  When I tuned in outside the dolmen I sensed a large tree offering a feeling of refuge, of safety and protection.  Aluna got something similar, so great to have that confirmation!

The next dolmen was in the middle of a cow pasture and the energy was not impressive to begin with.  I did connect with some Ancestors of the place who reminded me that the landscape was quite different when they were there!  They told me that it is a launch pad, or journey place.  The opening faces the rising sun, to tap into that rising energy for meditative travel. The stones act as a container, amplifying and holding sacred space for inter-dimensional connection.

Our final stop that day was a sweet old church with some big old yew trees, located right next to an old Druid meeting place.   I felt the Druids opening the door to let Lemurian energy through.  They weren’t aware of Lemuria in their lifetime but they could sense the echo of the ancient presence in the land.

Day 3 – July 15th

The previous evening I had done a quick akashic reading for myself to ask how i could deepen my connections as I didn’t feel like I was really receiving much.  They told me to have my meditations be a full body experience, to open more fully to the exchange.

This morning we went to Gwal-y-Fillias, a dolmen in a magical patch of woods on a ridge. Technically the dolmen overlooks a river below but the trees had grown up so much the view was no longer visible.  This site provided a dramatic shift for me, it felt so alive, such active energy!

This was definitely a launch spot for meditative journeys and the surrounding trees had helped retain its power by acting as guardians.  We met some locals who knew Aluna, they said there was a woman who worked consciously with the dolmen for years but she had recently passed away, maybe she helped keep it alive with her workings.  Two of us in the group sensed Unicorn energy here, a sign of its higher vibrational connection.

The trail leading to the dolmen kept going and I hurried down there, called to know what lay on the other side.  It felt like this direction was actually the main gateway, there were two impressive oak trees guarding the path.

I only got to meditate for a short time inside the dolmen, definitely could have used more time here!  I received the beginning vision for a mandala and was told that the art is a helpful technology to raise my vibration and help me stay attuned to these places and beings.

The message that Aluna brought through felt very resonant for me – repeating the need for trust and innocence, that we have built up walls over lifetimes that prevent us from trusting.  At the site Light Beings were shooting holes thru our inner walls, not removing them completely as we still need discernment, but allowing light through.

That afternoon we went to two other remnant stone circles.  The first one was barely discernable, only a few stones remained but there was a slight depression that marked where the center was.  I stood there and was moved to do some fairly vigorous yoga, following the advice of making my meditations full-body experiences, but also that’s when i first started to recognize the power that exists at the center of these circles.

The second circle we went to was on a large plain and was the first time I felt the Dragon of Wales recognizing us, like we had been to enough sites and proven ourselves and were accepted.

Day 4 – July 16

We spent two nights at Slebech Park Manor Hotel that had some truly impressive trees by an old chapel, several ancient yews among them.  This is where I first understood that ‘the essence of the yew is timelessness’.  Just as Oaks are about Strength, and Maple is sweetness, the yew connects us to the void before Creation.

Today we visited four sites that create a diamond-shape on the landscape. The first was another remnant stone circle on a high plain, only about three stones left. I was drawn to find the center, noticed a patch of vegetation that seemed to mark it so went and stood there and focused on strengthening my connection to a new dragon guide.  Marcus came over and I asked him where the center is and he confirmed that I had found it!  He said energy shot up his spine right as he came in front of me.  Another nice confirmation!

Second stop that day was Angel Mountain. My roommate Heather was a brilliant instigator and the two of us climbed to the top which wasn’t that hard and felt great.  There was very uplifting energy at the top, I could definitely feel the Angelic influence.

From there we went to a more feminine, receptive site of Nevern Chapel.  There is an avenue of old yew trees in front of the church, I could feel their energy from outside the gate, it was palpable!  I asked about orienting some trees (article about orienting here)  and at first did not get much of an answer, I was still moving too fast for the yews to want to connect with me.  After wandering around a bit and attuning myself I asked again and was called to start with a tree in the corner that was more twisted.  I think it approved as after that I was called to orient a large upright tree right in front of the church.  When I had done that one I could feel all of the trees in the valley synergise and come into alignment.  Wow, I’ve never felt anything like that before!

The last stop that day was Pentre-Ifan, an impressive and well known dolmen that is very tall and looks delicately balanced.  As I tuned in I could sense this was less of a launch pad than the other dolmens we had visited, an interpretive sign said ‘it was built to impress’ and I could agree with that but wasn’t getting more.  Then Aluna started channeling that it was built by a Merlin/Thoth teacher figure as a teaching place, both a place for him to teach and a place that taught by example, the lesson being ‘take responsibility lightly’. Not as in don’t take it seriously, but don’t let it weigh you down, don’t inflate your self-importance because of it.

After she brought that through I heard that trust is the key to opening the stream of creative source energy.  The stream is always there, it’s always flowing, trust is what allows you to unlock and use the flow.

Another message from Aluna is to not follow someone else – ‘take the teaching, not the teacher’.

Kathleen, another participant received a message for both of us: ‘When you are out in Nature you are receiving, being fed and energized. Then in the world it is your Being that is important, not your Doing’.

Day 5 – July 17th

Today we went to St Non’s well and chapel and St David’s Cathedral.  It wasn’t a big day of connection for me, but the cathedral was so impressive with its setting in a dell, the whole thing constructed with a slight uphill slant towards the altar, that I had to get a sense of how it fit into the larger landscape so I hoofed it downstream to a lovely small port and then came back along the cliff side trail.  From the trail i could see a large cave under St Non’s chapel and could feel more clearly the strong feminine energy of that area. (St Non is David’s mother, she gave birth to him in a storm, a spring subsequently appeared in that spot)

Day 6 – July 18th

We continued north with a visit to a pair of twin dolmens, one larger and one smaller.  There is a large oak tree overseeing them, its split form mirroring the structures.  Marcus explained that the larger dolmen is to gather energy and the smaller one stores it like a battery. The dolmens are surrounded by smaller stones and cobbles increasing its magnetic force.  I didn’t sense much from the site until I went into the larger dolmen and meditated, then I could feel the strong energy and let myself absorb it to activate my DNA.  This is where I started to understand the flexibility of the technology and the variety of purposes behind them.

From there we went to Portmeirion, an Italianate village built in the 1920s. It’s very colorful and artistic but also felt new and superficial until I went on their Nature Trail where the size and majesty of the trees blew me away. They aren’t all native, there is a large cedar and redwood, but they are so healthy and vibrant.

I made my way out to a viewpoint on the ridge and sat a while until a rain shower came along and it seemed time to move.  As I was walking away I heard a voice say ‘you forgot something!’  I was pretty sure I had packed up all my things but since i hadn’t gone far I figured I might as well go back.  When I got back to the bench I realized what I had forgotten was to give an offering!  But right at that moment a huffing, harried-looking man arrived so it didn’t feel right to give the offering there.

I continued down a smaller path that led through a thick grove of small oak and holly, I felt like I was passing through a boundary of sorts. There was another nice rock outcrop beyond but it still didn’t feel like the right spot for an offering so i kept following the path as it led around to the right to a stone wall.  I could sense that if I climbed over the wall I would be able to see the next valley over so of course i made the effort and found myself at what felt like the top of the tongue in a dragons’ mouth, a river flowing down on either side and me at the tip of the dividing ridge.

I checked the map and Dinas Emrys, our next stop, would be about where the eye of the dragon would be, up the northern valley, if I was at the tip of the tongue. This was totally the best place for an offering!  I left a stone from home to establish a connection, it felt so good to be so clearly in the flow.

This was another example of how your attitude makes a huge difference. Several other people in the group were not impressed with Portmierion, they felt it was too touristy and they resented being there.  They did not have a good time there because of that.  I, on the other hand, while not necessarily attracted to its outer vibe, saw that it had a nature trail and went with a curious and open  attitude and had one of the most amazing experiences of the trip.

Dinas Emrys has a history associated with Merlin, supposedly there were two dragons fighting, a red and a white, and he banished the white one.  According to the story this brought some peace and this is why there is a red dragon on the Welsh flag.  I was left with lots of questions about this, as RJ Stewart teaches that red usually refers to humans and white to the Faery realms, so if the Faery dragon was banished that could explain why Wales has had such a difficult history, since the Faery energy was not accepted.

It is a lovely hike up the hillside to the site of the ancient fort, with views up and down valley. I could see why someone would want a fort there!  There is a small pool of water just below the fort which felt like the true power spot of the area.  When I tuned in here I asked my burning question, Who built all of these dolmens?

I can’t say I feel 100% confident in my answer, but what I heard was that the dolmens and other stone artifacts were built by survivors of Atlantis.  It took a few thousand years, (between when Atlantis was destroyed 10-12,000 years ago and when these structures were built around 5000 years ago), for them to get it together and make their way to this area, and then they were challenged to fully re-create the full technology of their old ways.  They did what they could to anchor in positive energies, knowing that harder times were coming.  They also built them with the idea that they would be reminders or clues for future people to know what is possible.

Day 7 – July 19th

We headed up into the mountains to a cairn named Capel Garmon that needed healing.  When I tuned in I felt the energy blocked underneath and did some Perelandra style clearing to assist in shifting it.  Others were also helping in their own ways and it did shift.  I was told that its guardian had left and that’s why it had gotten messed up so I also called for a new guardian to look after it.

In the afternoon we made our way to Anglesey island where we visited a cairn associated with Venus, Bryn Celli Ddu.  The archeologists call all of these structures burial chambers which is so misleading, they all seem to have different purposes.  Aluna said that this one wasn’t functioning properly, but I had a nice relaxed feeling there, a receptive downward energy that balanced out the mountains visible on the horizon.

Day 8 – July 20th

Anglesey and Holyhead both have strong associations with the Druids.  This morning we visited a site called Trefignath that is situated right on Holyhead, which also happens to be one of the closest places to Ireland. Aluna brought through that some Druids were there when the Romans came and they either fled or were slaughtered, it was very traumatic and sad.  We helped them see their place in history, they did what they could and that threads of their wisdom are still alive and it brought us to them.  That message brought a sense of healing to them.

Then we went on to an old village site where we could feel the echoes of old ceremonies, and to the Lligway dolmen.  This dolmen has a huge capstone and is sitting in a field and one wonders why it is there.  Typically I look around at the landscape and horizon and look for connections but did not see anything obvious here.  Marcus dowsed a line heading to the north east and I wondered what was over there.  He looked on a map and said it pointed to a significant standing stone in the Lake District called Old Meg. It seems there is always a connection to somewhere with these installations, but with changes to the landscape sometimes it’s hard to tell what it is anymore.

After that we went to the Bodowyr dolmen, not a very big or impressive one compared to others but still more than we could put together today!  Marcus said it is connected to the Neptune line radiating out from Stonehenge, I meditated inside and did feel a peaceful spacey-void feeling.

This is also where I figured out how they work – the upright stones are like acupuncture needles surrounding a node point.  My acupuncturist said this technique of putting needles around a point is called ‘surrounding the dragon’ when used for human healing, she did it for a cyst on my thumb and the cyst totally disappeared.  The capstone applies pressure to the upright stones and also creates an electromagnetic charge in the space between the capstone and the earth, the word ‘piezo-electric’ came to mind, where pressure is used to create a spark.  Then the human being sitting inside the space can ignite that spark with their electromagnetic field to create strong spiritual experiences.

Overall the energy of Anglesey island is very challenging, it feels much heavier than other parts of Wales.  We sensed it was perhaps because of its Druid associations and the traumatic way that tradition was killed off.

Day 9 – July 21

We started today with a visit to St Winifrede’s Well.  She was a strong woman who resisted rape in the 600s.  Her story has been co-opted by the Catholic Church, kind of duplicating the original crime.  I was struck by the similarity between her story and St Non’s, how springs appeared during times of duress.  My sense is that these were powerful witch-y women with strong ties to Nature.

Then in the afternoon, amazing day, we found an active Faery crossroads, called Moel ty Uchaf.  The energy was so strong even on the way up the road, there were SO many smiley faces greeting me along the way.  Everyone was very stimulated by the energy, which was super high and such bright light.  We anchored in a column of Light and Aluna kept seeing an outer ring of stones that kept blinking in and out, I sensed they were of the Sidhe.  Someone else sensed beings from Venus and Mars, I could feel such a horde I didn’t even try to pick out any individuals but knew that many dimensions were present.

At some point while there I felt called to connect St Non, St Winifrede and Guinevere on the etheric plane to strengthen Divine Feminine energy.  Then just a few hours later I read that Biden had stepped down and that Kamala Harris was the presumptive candidate.  Threads connecting!

Aluna heard the hills humming when we were there, I did too although I couldn’t be sure it wasn’t a plane or something. But then as I was making it back down the hill on my own I heard what sounded like a men’s choir practicing Gregorian chants.  It may also have been farming equipment, I know how engines can reverberate in valleys, but even if it was that’s a special thing to create that kind of sound wave.

Then in the bus, the woman sitting across from me and I both heard someone singing.  We looked around and no one else was hearing it, but we were definitely hearing singing with no discernible source!  A mile or so down the road it stopped, so my sense was that they were sending us off with blessings.

Our last day in the group was a long bus ride back to Bath.  We got to stop at one old site near Old Radnor, a group of four large stones.  This was one of those sites where it can be easy to miss the whole point of it, it feels so mellow and non-eventful.  But that is the point, Four is a very stable grounded number and the four stones help anchor the energy in the wide valley bowl of which they are at the center.  They support fertile growth in the agriculture of the area, their grounding focus provides a counterbalance to the upward growth of the plants.

Bath was totally cacophonous when we arrived, with Morris dancers and hordes of tourists, such a shift from the quiet mountains of Wales!

On my own again

The next day I left the group and rented a car to drive through Wales on my own.  My first stop was the lovely Waterfall country in southern Wales, where I got to jump in a refreshing river.  I also got to visit the Defynnog Yew tree, believed to be the oldest in the UK.  It’s so big it has kind of split in two and you can walk inside.  When I tuned in here I felt a strong portal with close connections to higher dimensions.  I used my pendulum that immediately started swinging in forceful circles when I walked from outside to inside.

Then a quick stop in the Elan Valley before going to stay with Susan Raven in mid-Wales.  We did a lot of walks, visited numerous lakes and had fascinating conversations!  I met Susan through classes with RJ Stewart and we read her book The Remembrance for book club. She has studied extensively in the Steiner lineage of Nature connection and practices biodynamic gardening.

My last few days in Wales were spent in Betws-y-Coed, what a magical place!  I am so glad I listened to whatever guidance it was that led me there. It is in a valley where four rivers meet, nestled in the mountains of Snowdonia. Since I only had a few days there I had to pack everything in to get to all the special places.

First was the Fairy Glen, of course I had to go there!  This is a river canyon with huge boulders and steep rock walls.  There are large veins of quartz through the land here, similar to in Scotland, that seems to help hold a high vibrational energy.  The message I got from the Fairy Glen was that ‘boundaries are beautiful.  When you take a photo, you can’t capture the whole scene, the framing is key’.  The boundaries of the canyon give vitality to the water rushing through.

The other highlight was a visit to Mount Snowden, or Yr Wfdda, itself.  Wow, what a mountain!  Not super tall as mountains go, but rises quite steeply from sea level.  The climb is dramatic in places, the route that I took had rock steps built for giants.  It is possible to take a tram to the top from the other side, so the side I was on had lots of people descending but not many people ascending.  My time there was limited as I had to catch a bus back to the parking lot, I kept saying ‘the mountain will decide how far I get’.  I knew I wouldn’t get to the top but I wanted to make a loop with two trails that connected.  I managed to do that, have a swim in a lake on the way up, and stop and meditate in a few places, and I made it back to the bus stop with 2 minutes to spare.  Thank you mountain beings!

During my tune in on the mountain, I felt the mountain is so OLD.  As old as time itself, and all that accumulation of time feels heavy, a real sense of weightedness.  Timelessness is the Void, where everything floats, but time has weight and when you’re millions of years old you create your own gravity.

The next day I re-visited Moel ty Uchaf, which was just as powerful the second time.  This time I felt how it is ‘a generative place of exchange between Earth and Sky’, meaning it generates energy and the Earth and Sky are able to exchange energy between them helping with planetary circulation. I again heard the humming of the hills, although this time it was more high-pitched, like insects, but I looked around and didn’t see any insects flying.

My final stop in Wales was Pistyll Rhaeder, a dramatic tall, narrow waterfall.  It is quite popular with tourists and friends asked if I really wanted to visit as it can be crowded but I knew I had to go there – not because of the waterfall but because of the beings that lived there.  I also felt like there was some karmic connection, the landscape between Moel ty Uchaf and Pistyll Rhaedr felt like a spiritual home, like it was my home in a previous lifetime.  These two sites are actually in the same mountain range, just on different sides. When I tuned in at the bottom of the waterfall I felt a thread connecting me to the center of the Earth, with that deep anchor it is possible to float and soar like a helium balloon.

I stayed my last night in Llanrhaedr-ym-Marchant, a small village near the waterfalls with the cutest stone buildings.  I felt like I had finally reached the heart of Wales.
