This is from Writing with the Fae this morning:

I met my Sidhe guide and a dragon. Normally there is something apparent in the environment to talk about, but nothing came to my attention today so i asked them to tell me a story. This is what they shared:

Once up on a time there was a man who felt he was missing a part of himself. He could not name the part, which made it hard to seek, he did not even know what he was looking for. He kept going through life, putting one foot in front of the other, keeping a watchful eye out for clues as to what he was seeking. There was a glimmer here, a shadow there, but still nothing that attached to a name. Finally he sat down, there was no longer anything pulling him forward. He sat, and waited, and thought perhaps he might attract his missing piece to him. He still could not name it, so instead he considered what it might feel like, this missing piece. This required a new set of skills. He started to look with his eyes closed. He started to feel myriad beings around him, all offering what support they could. He took comfort from their presence and attention. He sat, and he sat, and waited with eyes closed. As he continued to sit he noticed a larger being approaching. This larger being was also sitting, stationary behind the myriad smaller beings that hovered and flew closer to him. Slowly, in the stillness, a connection grew between them, a web of soft silvery threads wove through their fields. The man started to feel a sense of peace. He still could not name this larger being, perhaps that would come with time, but he felt perhaps that he was no longer seeking.
